Today on my morning walk I met a lady from England with her cute dog, we talked for a while and it was amazing! Her mom was a Jehovah witness. The conversation started with her telling me “I want to go to church but today is the first Sunday and it’s communion so they eat the bread and drink the wine” she then asked me if I go to church and if I know about communion so I told her yes I am a Jehovah witness. To my surprise she knows a lot about Jehovah witnesses because her mother was in the truth but she is mad at Jehovah witnesses because according to what she heard her mom had cancer but she heard that Jehovah witnesses told her not to take blood. I understood her pain and her being angry at us, I told her we can’t make anyone do anything we all have a choice and Jehovah created us to choose our own path. She was surprised by my answer because she thought we forced people to chose but she told me that happened in the 1970s and they were more strict then. I told her everyone has a choice and choosing to take or not take blood transfusions is a personal matter but the bible clearly states that we should abstain from consuming blood in any form…
we talked a little more and I am glad I met her! That was sooo unexpected
